 Activity Endorsements

Endorsement Regulation:

In keeping with its mission, the Saudi Stroke Association (SSA) encourages the organization of meetings, and activities for the purpose of dissemination of information on stroke prevention and therapy.

The SSA may endorse stroke-related scientific meetings or activities.  Since organizers of graduate and continuing medical education have a duty to present objective and balanced information to the participants; thus, there should not be any funds that are offered contingent on a sponsor’s ability to shape programming. The SSA endorsement committee needs to evaluate content, and delivery of education provided under their endorsement.

The SSA assumes no responsibility for the organizational, planning, operational or financial aspects of the meeting endorsed.  When requested, the SSA may offer professional and scientific advice, as needed.

In order to receive SSA endorsement, the organizers of the meeting or activity must submit a request in writing to the SSA secretary least 2 months before the meeting or activity takes place.  The request should include the names of members in the meeting’s planning committee, an outline of the activity arrangements, an outline of the program, the names of proposed speakers or presenters and the target audience. If SSA professional or scientific assistance is needed, the nature of that assistance should be described.

The President of the SSA may approve endorsement on the advice of the endorsement committee. If SSA endorsement is approved, SSA logo is sent to the Planning Committee and the President may designate one or more members of the SSA to serve as SSA liaison.

SSA endorsement authorizes the meeting organizers to use the SSA logo and to print the following sentence in all official documents of the meeting or activity:

“The Saudi Stroke Association endorses this meeting (activity) and encourages all its members to attend”

In return, SSA should get the following from the meeting or activity organizer:

  • Free electronic mailing list of all meeting participants after the meeting

  • Free insert in the congress bags or free advertisement page in the meeting or activity final program

  • Free space (6 sq.meters minimum) in the exhibition area for an SSA Booth (if requested) ..
