- 3 day stroke awareness campaign with public education tent at Dhahran Exhibition, February, 2008:
As part of the out reach program, the Saudi Stroke Associations condcted a public awareness compaign geared to females only to ensure their privacy . This was held in Feb 2008 during a larger public event. about 600 ladies visited our booth which had several brouchoures about stroke risks ,early stroke signs and a large bullten explaining the core goals of Saudi stroke Associations.
Oral presentations on stroke were given By Dr Shireen Qureshi and other video taped presentations were continously run. Visitors had free blood pressure and blood suger measurements in order to attain their stroke risks based on Framingham stroke rist stratification with participation of Dr Muzna Ahmed from primary care sector in eastern Provience.
Over all the activity was well preceived by attendees and media as published in local newspaper and magazines ..
