The Saudi Advisory Group
Against Stroke and the Bangladesh Medical Association conducted a successful
joint scientific medical symposium in Riyadh. The event took place in Marriot
Hotel, on Thursday, December 23, 2004. The event was conducted under the
auspices
of Prof. Hussain Al-Freihi, chairman of the Saudi Commission for Health
Specialties, and the Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The objectives of this
meeting were:

Support local non-Saudi
medical organizations in conducting scientific events.

Create new channels for
Saudi and Bangladesh physicians to communicate.

Explore the Bangladesh
medical experience in Saudi Arabia.
-
Continue to increase the
awareness about stroke treatment and prevention.
150 Bangladesh physicians, working in
Saudi Arabia, attended this activity and were involved in an interesting
discussion on the topics presented.
It is worth mentioning that
this scientific activity was the first of its kind involving the medical field
in Saudi Arabia, and the group is proud to support and work with non-Saudi
medical organizations operating in Saudi Arabia.
