SAGAS News

The Saudi Advisory Group Against Stroke was established following an understanding among number of physicians and specialists, who are concerned with stroke issues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was following 3 successful meetings and the January, 2002 annual conference of the Saudi Heart Association, that SAGAS was officially launched.
 
Since then, the activities of this group started to be practiced. This periodical in your hand is the one of the priority that SAGAS put it on its agenda.
 
The Group website has also been launched with  the URL “www.sagas.org.sa
 
The group has started its serial educational activity with a satellite symposium, that took place in Riyadh during the annual Saudi Heart Association Conference in January 2002 and is sharing with a satellite symposium during the 11th Neuroscience Symposium in Jeddah, March 2002.
 
The Group has also been hosted by the Saudi TV, during February 2002, where stroke issues in the Kingdom were discussed in the channel l medical program, presented by Dr T. Sabbagh.
 
The Group is going to meet again in March 2002 in the city of Dammam
 
SAGAS is looking forward to establish its self on solid grounds, and than start to liaise with other well known groups in the Kingdom, so the goals of this group can be fulfilled.
