The Association conducted a public educational activity in Thursday, 29 October, 2009. This is the day which has been declared by the World Stroke Organization (WSO) to be the World Stroke Day, go to this link for further details: www.world-stroke.org/wsd

The activity took place in Ghornatah Mall in Riyadh, and more than 20 medical students of King Saud Medical Faculty were helping the Association in this day. Also, number of neurology fellows have participated in the event, and they are: Dr. Ali Al-Shehri, Dr. Abdurahman Al-Harbi, Dr. Sultan Al-Dahbali and Dr. Saleem Al-Balawi.

What happened in this day ?

• A survey on stroke knowledge will be conducted at this day

• Mega screen display of a short animation video on stroke awareness (repeated throughout the day)

• Distribution of brochures, calendars  and pamphlets on stroke signs recognition and stroke prevention.

• Streaming educational laptop display (patients experience and lectures)

• Distribution of educational gifts

• Streaming educational LCD projections on various information on stroke
